Make Up Friday

kstewfshion23

Happy Friday everyone, it’s ‘Make Up Friday’ time again and today the wonderful Maria will be showing you how to recreate Kristen's fresh and minimal look from the Eclipse Rome Photo call. See the full fashion breakdown for this look  HERE.

You also may have noticed a lack of updates this week due to me moving to a new city, i promise this won’t last for much longer. I’m happily acquainting myself with my new surroundings and should be fully settled into a routine soon.

As always a big thank you to @kstewemmakeup for filming these tutorials for you guys and this blog. You can view her Emma Watson fashion blog Here and check out her other videos on her YouTube channel Here.

NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @kstewemmakeup uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.

FACE
Usual steps apply for foundation and powder. Add a little moisturiser before you put on your foundation to provide a better base. Apply powder to the jaw line, nose, chin and forehead.

EYES
After applying a primer, apply the “Midnight Cowboy” to the eyelid and lower lid. If you are using this exact colour be careful as there is A LOT of glitter! Next apply the “Twice Baked” colour to the sockets. Don’t use too much of this colour. Next, just blend the colours. Then apply liner to the top lid in a thin line and smudge the liner a bit. You can also add liner to the bottom lid but very lightly and smudge the line a little.

The usual steps for eyebrows apply also. First brush out the brows then add colour where it’s needed. Then add a thin layer of the clear mascara to hold the hairs in place. Then add mascara to the top and bottom lashes.

LIPS
For lips, just add a clear, nude or pale pink lip gloss or lip balm. Just remember to keep it natural.

PRODUCTS
GOSH X-CEPTIONAL WEAR FOUNDATION in 11 PORCELAIN
AVON IDEAL SHADE PRESSED POWER in FAIR
BENEFIT “THAT GAL” PRIMER  (as a brightener)
BOURJOIS BLUSH  in 85
URBAN DECAY SHADOW PRIMER POTION
URBAN DECAY SHADOWS in CHOPPER, SIN, POLYESTER BRIDE & TWICE BAKED

AVON GLIMMERSTICK BROW DEFINER in DARK BROWN
MISS SPORT JUST CLEAR MASCARA
BENEFIT “BAD GAL” MASCARA in BLACK
RIMMEL LONDON STAY GLOSSY LIP GLOSS in 120 NON-STOP GLAMOUR

FACE
Usual face routine applies here. I applied foundation using a foundation brush, making sure to cover my brows and lips. Then I used a brightening primer as a highlighter on my cheekbones and nose. Then I applied powder. Next I applied a medium brown blush in a “3” shape on the side of my face.

EYES
First I started with my brows. I brushed them out using a brow brush then filled bits of them in using a brow pencil. And to hold the hairs in place I used a clear mascara. Next I applied the primer potion to my eyelids and using a fluffy blending brush, applied the colour sin. I also applied this in a thin line on the lower lid. Next using a thin brush I applied the colour Chopper in a thin line, over the top of the sin. Basically as an outline. Then using a normal eye shadow brush, I applied twice baked to the eyelid only and in a thin line on the lower lid. Then I used polyester bride to highlight my brow bones.

Then using a cream liner and a thin liner brush, I drew a thick line on my top lid. (Gradually getting bigger as the line progresses), and ending in a subtle, small flick. Then I applied the liner in a thin but strong line on the lower lid and smudged it a bit. Next you apply mascara and you’re eye makeup will be done.

LIPS
For lip colour use a natural colour or a clear gloss. Don’t make your lips too strong as strong eyes and lips are never a good look. It’s always either one or the other.

Make Up Friday

title

Welcome to another Make Up Friday! Today @kstewemmakeup will be showing you how to recreate Kristen's look from the 2008 VMAs, so today is a flash back to the Twilight days which feel oh so very long ago. I actually happen to be a big fan of this particular make up look on Kristen, he make up artist knows how to highlight those gorgeous green eyes of hers. As for Kristen, she is rumoured to return to the ‘On the Road’ set on the 27th of August, filming is apparently going very well which is very good news. Remember if you have any enquiries you can email me at kstewfashion@btinternet.com.

URBAN DECAY SHADOWS: UZI, TWICE BAKED, CHOPPER & OIL SLICK
AVON SUPERSHOCK MASCARA BLACK
RIMMEL LONDON STAY GLOSSY 120 NON-STOP GLAMOUR

FACE
After applying a generous layer of foundation using a foundation brush, apply a powder over key areas such as nose, t-zone and chin. Then apply a medium bronzer to your cheekbones, jaw line and a small amount on temples.

EYES
If you are using a cream based shadow you will not need primer. Apply the base colour all over the eyelid and smudge upwards, and in a thin line on the lower lash line. This base colour should be the same shade as your skin or one or two shades lighter. Next apply a burnt orange (Chopper) colour using a blending brush above the crease. Next using a thinner brush, apply a medium brown colour (Twice Baked) to the eyelid only. Next, apply black liner to the top lid only in a thin line as close to the lash line as possible. Smudge the line a bit to give that soft edge. Clean the thinner brush and apply a black shadow to the corner and push the colour inwards but don’t overdo the black. This colour must be subtle and used as an addition to the black liner. Next apply a silver/white/glitter (Uzi) shadow to the lower lash lid. Again, don’t overdo this colour. It’s meant to be subtle.

For the brows again keep it natural as this is 2008 and Kristen has her natural colour of brow. First, brush out your eyebrows and apply a light natural colour to fill in the brow. Then apply the clear mascara in  no fancy manner to help the hairs stay in place.

Finally apply mascara and a pale pink/nude/natural lip gloss and you’re done with the look!

*Have a good weekend everyone*

Welcome to another Make Up Friday! Today @kstewemmakeup will be showing you how to recreate Kristen's look from the NYC Cinema Society Screening of New Moon. If you haven't already, take a look at the previous post for Kristen's first set picture as MaryLou! Also the lovely Tom Sturridge has joined the 'On the Road' cast and Mr Pattinson has been snapped visiting the pair up in Canada. It's been a wonderful week in terms of news so here's hoping next week brings us the same.

As always a big thank you to @kstewemmakeup for filming these tutorials for you guys and this blog. She has a fashion blog for the lovely Emma Watson you can check out here: http://emmawatsonfashion.blogspot.com/

NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @kstewemmakeup uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.

Before I begin with the tutorial itself, if anyone has any requests or suggestions for tutorials for next week I will be happy to take them as Kristen sightings are a little thin on the ground at the minute! Thanks!

*NOTE: If you have tan to darker skin tones skip out on the eyeshadow's and just go straight for the eyeliner*

PRODUCTS
Avon Ideal Shade Foundation Ivory
L'Oreal Mineral Foundation 01 Translucent (used as a powder)
Bourjois Blush 03
Urban Decay Shadow Primer Potion
Maxfactor Earth Spirits Pale Pebble 101
Urban Decay Sin
Urban Decay Cream eyeliner Zero (black)
Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer Dark Brown
Miss Sporty Clear Mascara
Avon Supershock Mascara
Rimmel London Stay Glossy 120 Non-Stop Glamour

FACE
Apply foundation as normal. Make sure you have good coverage without any lines. Make sure you blend well especially at the jaw and hair lines. Then apply a powder paying special attention to your chin and t-zone. Then apply a medium to dark bronzer to you cheekbones and jaw line. (More so on the cheekbones).

EYES
After applying the primer apply a light or pale shadow to the entire eyelid (right up to the brow) and on the lower lid. Next apply a light or burnt brown colour to the socket. Light spread the colour above the crease. This should give subtle definition.

Next you will begin to apply the eyeliner i would advise using a cream eyeliner and a liner brush as these are really thin and makes it easier for you to work. However, an angled brush would be fine also. Apply the liner to the main part of your top eyelid gradually building it up to a thick line. Then apply a thin line to the lower lid and smudge a little. Then apply the liner to the inner corners lightly. Then you can work on the flick. Don't make it too exaggerated.

If your happy with that you can move on to brows. First brush out your brows and apply colour where needed to fill in the bits of your brows where you're not happy with the consistency. Then apply a clear mascara over them. nothing too special with this it just keeps the hairs in place all day.

Next apply mascara and a nude/pale pink lip gloss and you're done with the look!

Hope you enjoyed it!

It’s important to remember that the colours I’ve used are lighter than the colours used on Kristen as they are the best I could get. However, the same basic steps apply.

PRODUCTS
NIVEA NATURAL RADIANCE BOOSTING MOISTURISER
AVON IDEAL SHADE FOUNDATION IVORY
AVON IDEAL SHADE PRESSED POWDER FAIR
UD SHADOW PRIMER POTION
BARRY M EYE PENCIL NO.3
BARRY M DAZZLE DUSTS NO. 82, 78 & 94
AVON SUPERSHOCK MASCARA BLACK
BROUJOIS BLUSH NO.85
L’OREAL GLAM SHINE NATURAL GLOW 406 PEARLY NUDE GLOW

FACE
Apply foundation in a semi-thick layer. Make sure it gives you good coverage. To help with this use a foundation brush. Apply foundation from your forehead to your jaw making sure to blend here very well. Then apply powder in a light layer. Add a highlighting formula to your cheek bones if you do not own the Avno foundation I have used. Your face must have a glow to it. Then apply a light coloured bronzer to your temples, cheekbones and jaw line. Make sure it’s a light layer. Make it subtle.

EYES
After applying the usual primer, apply a teal coloured eye liner in a thick line to your lash line. Then taking a thin brush, blend and smudge the colour upwards. Then taking the thin brish again, apply the lightest shade of teal to your eye lid only. Then using the same brush take a medium shade of teal to outline the sockets. Then taking the darkest teal apply and blend the colours with a fluffy blending brush. Then apply mascara and you’re done with your eyes.

LIPS
Put a bit of foundation on your lips as a base, then apply a natural nude colour of lip gloss. Or a nude lipstick and add clear gloss to make it shine.

Now you’re done with the look, hope you enjoy it!

FACE
Usual steps for the face; primer the foundation and powder and blusher applied on the cheekbones and jaw line. Spend time on your base. Kristen’s skin is always flawless so make sure your base is too.

EYES
Start by applying primer to your eyelids. Then using an angular brush or a regular brow pencil, fill you brows in. you want them to be a dark brown. Make them soft and rounded, not angular and rigid looking. Then apply a warm brown as a base on your eye lid and lower, outer lid. Then using a dark chocolate brown colour, apply it to your eye lid only.  No eyeliner is needed for this look as the dark brown would simply swamp any liner you apply. Then apply mascara.

LIPS
You want a reddish-pink for the lips. Make it glossy also.

This weeks  Make Up Friday look  is a double post and will show you how to re-create Kristen’s make up look from both the Eclipse L.A and NYC premieres. If you missed the L.A premiere look then you can view it here and the NYC one  here.

Avon Supershock Mascara Black

Eye
After applying facial primer, foundation and powder, apply a shadow primer to your eyelids. Then using a fluffy blending brush, apply a warm brown colour as a base. Next apply a silver shadow to your eyelid only and lower lid. You can do one of two things here. You can either do what I have done and use the Heavy Metal as your eye shadow or you can use a strong silver eye shadow. If you use the Heavy Metal apply the eyeliner first. Use a liquid  liner and apply it to the tear duct and outwards on the top lid only making the line thicker as you go outwards and draw a subtle flick at the end of the eye. Then apply the glitter liner as a shadow to the top lid above the liner. If you are using a shadow apply the shadow first and then the liner.

Next using a pencil liner in black apply to the waterline of your lower lid. You can also apply a tiny layer of the Heavy metal as an added effect on the lower lid. Then apply mascara and you’re done with the look. For lip colour all you need is a clear gloss or a natural looking pink shade. Keep it natural for the lips as usual.

Rimmel London Waterproof Eye Definer Black
Avon Glimmerstick Brow Definer Dark Brown
Avon Supershock Mascara Black

Eyes
It’s important for this look to apply your eye makeup first and then your foundation seeing as there are quite heavy colours involved. Start by applying the usual primer and apply the Barry m colour as a base in the eye lid only. You can extend the colour past the crease but only slightly. Apply this colour to the outer half of the lower lid. Then apply the Last Call colour to the inner corner of the top lid pushing the colour in the inner corner and a little way past the crease. Then apply Oil Slick or a black to the outer corner and the outer portion of the lower lid. Then push the black above the pink/purple in the inner corner. Then apply the polyester bride or white underneath the brow to highlight.

Then apply eyeliner to the water line starting in the inner corner. Apply this to the top and bottom lids.

Face
If you’re using the Avon foundation there won’t be any need for primer or highlighter but if you aren’t just apply your normal primer and foundation. Apply powder to the jaw and lower portion of the cheeks, chin and neck.

Then apply mascara and you’re done with the look.

It's been a crazy week and i'm posting like mad! Tonight brings more craziness with the Welcome to the Rileys screening and i believe if all goes to plan i shall be up hopefully blogging the look so i hope the coverage of the event will be good so we get pictures quickly. L.A and the UK time difference is effecting my sleeping schedule but i enjoy bringing you guys these posts as quickly as i possibly can. i'm aware alot of the looks have been red carpet and there has been a few casual outfits i haven't covered but i will get back to those as soon as i possibly can for you guys.

So todays look is the much awaited Elle 2010 Magazine shoot and i'm pleased to say @kstewmakeup is using the same products used on Kristen for the shoot! I know some of you were looking forward to this look s let me know how it goes if any of you try it out. I think we can agree the whole make up look was flawless, classy and feminine.

As always a big thank you to @kstewmakeup for filming these tutorials and allowing me to post them on this blog. She has her own fashion blog for Emma Watson so if you are a fan check it out here: http://emmawatsonfashion.blogspot.com/.

NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @kstewmakeup uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.

Rimmel London Single Smokey Quartz 030
Urban Decay single eye shadow Sin
Urban Decay Shadow Primer Potion

Face
If you’re using the Avon foundation you will not need a brightening primer, let alone any primer at all, or highlighter. Apply the foundation to the T-zone and cheeks. Then apply powder to the jaw and neck ( a light layer). Matte any areas where you think you’re face is a bit too shiny. Then apply the blush sparingly. Don’t put too much of this colour on as it is a very strong colour. Apply to the cheekbones and extend to the apple of your cheeks and your temples.

Eye
Apply your shadow primer then apply the base colour (which should be the same colour as your skin) to the eye lid, lower lid and brow bone using a fluffy brush. Then using the fluffy brush again apply the colour “Sin” to the upper eye lid and brow bone only. Paying special attention to the eye lid. Then using a thin brush apply the “Smokey Quartz” like a liner to the lower lid. Making sure the lie gets thicker towards to outer edge of the lower lid. Next apply the liquid liner to the top lid only in one smooth line from inner to outer corner, gradually building up the colour as you go along. Then make sure to draw a small flick at the edge. Next, brush out your eye brow and fill in the brow with the Glimmerstick. Finally apply your mascara. Make sure you put more emphasis on the top lashes.

Lips
This colour is also very strong so use it sparingly. Gently tap the colour onto the upper and lower lip and blend the colour out across the lips.

That’s the look complete! Hope you enjoyed it!

How To Get Kristens Eclipse Premiere Updo

This article is take from bellasugar who spoke with Kristen's hairstylist to help give readers a guide to recreating this look for themselves. I'm sure i speak for a lot of people when i say Kristen's wearing her hair up was a fantastic choice, it complimented her outfit and made the whole look classy. Here is the guide to recreating this look for yourselves.

Via http://www.bellasugar.com/

To re-create the look yourself, all you need is five key tools and products: a volumizing whip, a round brush, hair dryer, some pins, and hairspray

•Apply the volumizer at the roots and throughout the rest of your hair. Abergel used Fekkai Full Blown Volume Styling Whip ($23).
•Blow-dry the hair with a round brush, focusing the air flow away from the face. Place the hair in pin curls, allow the hair to cool, and then remove the pin curls.
•Next, rake your hands into the hair into a side pompadour. Secure with pins.
•To finish off, pull out some pieces to frame the face and spritz with hairspray to lock in the style. Abergel used Fekkai Coiff Sheer Hold Hairspray ($23).

Note: I believe these were the exact products used on Kristen so if you have a cheaper brand you want to use with a similar product I'm sure that would be an alternative that would also help create the look.

Make Up Fridays

Welcome to another Make Up Friday, with the constant promotion for Eclipse the posts have been frequent on the blog so look to the archive to see if there is any looks you have missed. I have some bad news, i don't think i will be around for the stockholm promotion. I am going away for a few days and it overlaps some of the promotion unfortunately. That being said i've nogotiated it so that i will be home the day before the L.A premiere. That look i can not miss. Rest assured once i return home i will blog any missed looks as soon as i possibly can.

The make up tutorial today is Kristens's stunning look from last nights Rome fan event. Even if you didn't like the Marchesa cocktail dress there is no doubt Kristen's make up was flawless. Today @kstewmakeup will be providing a tutorial for any of you who wish to recreate this fantastic look for yourselves.

As always I'm going to say a little separate thank you to @kstewmakeup for filming these tutorials every week for us, she's a star. She has her own brilliant fashion blog for Emma Watson so if you are a fan check it out here: http://emmawatsonfashion.blogspot.com/.

NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @kstewmakeup uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.

Part 2

Rome Fan Event How To

Products
Benefit “That Gal” Brightening Primer
L’Oreal True Match Foundation
UD Shadow Primer
Maxfactor Earth Spirits Pale Pebble 101 (this should match your skin tone)
Rimmel London Trio 710 Twilight Zone
Rimmel Solos Smokey Quartz
UD Shadow Oil Slick
Rimmel London Professional Eye Brow Pencil 001 Dark Brown
x1 Fluffy Brush
x1 Thin Brush
Rimmel London Waterproof Eyeliner Black

Face
Usual steps with the face. Add a brightening primer to your face with a greater concentration on the cheekbones, nose and chin. Don’t apply too much foundation. This was the Rome fan event which means it must have been at least 30 degrees C. Apply a little bit on the key places: chin, cheeks, nose & chin. Don’t apply powder, and if you aren’t in possession on a brightening primer use a highlighter on your cheekbones & nose.

Eyes
After applying the primer, apply a shadow which matches your skin tone. Then apply a warm brown all over your top and bottom lids with a fluffy brush. Then using a thin brush apply the black shadow to the outer corner and form a flick (like the flick we saw her wear at the Burberry Fashion Show). This flick should not extend past the tip of your eyebrow. Extend the black to the lower lid. When you’re happy with that apply a white to the inner corner, top and bottom. Next apply the eyeliner. Apply it to the outer corner of your top eyelid and in the waterline everywhere else. You can smudge the lines to make them less harsh. Next apply your mascara and you’re done with the look!

Hope you enjoyed it!

Make Up Fridays

Today's 'Make Up Friday' is from Vanity Fair 2010 which Kristen was featured in with several other actresses. If you want to check out the looks she wore during this shoot go here: http://tiny.cc/b8n16. This look was very minimal and that's something i adore about Kristen because she's not a girl who needs a ton of make up to look pretty. She's a natural beauty with skin i will forever be jealous of.

I just want to quickly address Kristen's look from the Korean press conference. I assume you are all already aware that Kristen pretty much wore the same outfit as the Australian press conference. I was disappointed and i wasn't really sure there would be a point in posting basically the same look in another post so i may or may not post it later on when its not so new. I'm pretty busy trying to get work done to clear my schedule for Sunday so i can stay up late and catch all the MTV Movie Award goodness without looking like a zombie come Monday. I can't wait so if your around on Sunday come chat to me on Twitter and we'll enjoy the show together.

As usual i am going to say thank you to @kstewmakeup because she takes her time to perfect these videos for us and always smiles whilst doing so. She has her own fashion blog for Emma Watson so if you are a fan check it out here: http://emmawatsonfashion.blogspot.com/ if you are a fan of Miss Watson and her fashion.

NOTE: For tutorials you do not need the exact make up @kstewmakeup uses, similar colours from any brand you feel comfortable using will do.
