'Make-Up' Fridays

Hello! It's another Friday here and we've been busy! I've posted quite alot over the last few days so its worth checking back on the posts and seeing what you have missed. Todays look is Kristens look from the New Moon premiere in L.A which i think you will all agree was gorgeous. Damn her with her pretty face!

As usual a huge thank you to @Jacksonville25 for filming these videos every week for us and writing the how-tos. Face
First I exfoliated using the Aapri pads. I would really recommend these. They are amazing. With one use your skin is noticeably smoother and has a healthy glow. Next I applied my moisturiser which should always be done after an exfoliation no matter how mild it is. This moisturiser had a lovely smell and look and didn’t weigh my skin down. Next I applied my primer. The primer that I used has been rumoured to have been used by Kristen for the Oscars, and I can see why. Again, like the moisturiser it’s light and doesn’t weigh your skin down and has a gorgeous sheen to it. Then I applied my foundation and powder.

Eyes
I started by priming my eye and then I began defining my eyebrows. After this, I put a medium brown as my colour base on my eyelid and on the bottom lid. I then extended the colour towards the brow bone. Next I applied a dark brown colour to the outer corners and above the crease and on the lower, outer corner. After this step clean your brush on a clean tissue and smudge the colour to remove any harsh lines. Next I applied a cream colour to my brow bone and the inner corners.

Next I applied my eyeliner. This goes on the outer corners of your eye with a tiny flick at the end. Next apply your mascara and the look is complete! Hope you enjoyed it!

Again, my sincere apologies for this weeks tutorial. I promise next week will be better and I’m also hoping, since it’s Kristen’s birthday week that I could do more than one video. @Kstewfashion also came up with the idea of picking up to 4 random fans from both our twitters to participate in one of next week’s tutorials. Winners will be picked at random next week after the tutorials have been released and their job will be to recreate one of the looks I am planning to do and take pictures of the finished look! I will then put those pictures in the next week’s video.

Musapostaus part 2

Nyt on siis toisen osan aika, ykkösosa löytyy täältä. Menen suoraan asiaan, eli laitan aina yhden biisin joiltain lempibändeistän. Olen tällaisissa postauksissa vähän huono, mutta koska lupasin toisenkin postauksen lempibändeistäni, niin tässä se nyt tulee. :D

Billy Talentista on varmasti jokainen kuullut heidän uusimman levyn myötään. Itse löysin kyseisen bändin jälleen kerran kaverini Vilun kautta loppuvuodesta -08, ja se onkin kuulunut lempibändeihini siitä asti. Ihanaa angstausmusaa.



The All-American Rejectskin tuli tunnetummaksi mm. Gives You Hell -biisillään, mutta itse tutustuin bändiin suunnilleen ysiluokalla. Tämä onkin jo paljon iloisampaa pop-rokkia, ei aina jaksa mököttää. Alla oleva videokin on muuten aika söpis. :D ♥



The Crash on yksi harvoista suomalaisbändeistä joita kuuntelen. Muistan kun kuunneltiin sitä jo pieninä ala-asteelaisina Vilun luona, mutta lähivuosina olen kuunnellut sitä enemmän. Harmi vain että tämäkin mahtava bändi lopetti. :( Niin ja luultiin nappuloina tosiaan että It's Contagious -biisissä lauletaan disco potatoes eikä it's contagious..



Jatkan piipittävä miesääni -linjalla, joten seuraavaksi vuorossa on Mew. Tämäkin on Vilun aikaansaannoksia musiikkimaussani.. Kumpikin taidetaan tykätä vähän raskaamman musiikin lisäksi juuri tällaisista piipittävän lauluäänen omaavista miekkosista. :D



Muistan, että The Ark aloitteli todellista rakkauttani musiikkiin kasiluokalla. Ihan mahtavaa omaperäisyyttä ja sanoituksia rakkaalta länsinaapuriltamme. Ihmettelen suuresti ettei se pärjännyt pari vuotta sitten Euroviisuissa.
Kuunnelkaa nyt näitäkin lyriikoita. ♥__♥



Kuuntelen tosi vähän naisartisteja tai bändejä joissa on naislaulaja, mutta The Sounds on yksi niistä. Bändin musa on kivan energistä ja mukavaa vaihtelua musamakuuni.



Laitoin viimeksikin randomisti seitsemän eri videota, joten teen niin nytkin. Viimeisen bändin valitseminen oli kyllä hankalaa, mutta päädyin nyt suomalaiseen Disco Ensembleen. Tämäkin on yksi niistä harvoista kuunneltavista suomalaisista. Huomasin muuten jossain vaiheessa että Pete Parkkonen kuulostaa välillä häiritsevän paljon Disco Ensemblen laulajalta.. En meinannut osata päättää tämän kappaleen ja Headphonesin väliltä.



Enemmän voit tarkastella musamakuani täältä. Onhan tuota tullut ihan mukavasti kuunneltua alle 1,5v aikana pelkästään koneella ollessa. :--D Kohta 40 000 kuuntelua.

Sattuuko kukaan lukijoistani kuuntelemaan samoja bändejä kuin minä? Joku muukin kuin Vilu.. :--D Paitsi että Ylppöä ja Happoradiota ym. kakkaa en kyllä ikinä ala kuuntelmaan. 8--|

Your Dream Kristen Outfits Part 6

So here we are, the second last post. Look out for the last post tomorrow, we'll be going out with a bang. I'm thinking tomorrows post will be slightly longer so look out for it around afternoon time, it's going to be fantastic. Its been so much fun having you all take part in this, i hope you all feel a little more involved in the blog now. I just want to say these outfits genuinley blow me away, you guys all have such different taste. Its been great seeing all these different types of oufits you want to see on Kristen, some of them genuinely suprised me. I have been in heaven for the last week looking at these outfits. I believe there are 16 sets here today i published too many because i have alot left, so tomorrow post will be huge!

Bobby Long Gig

I'm not sure of the particular date this was...........if you know please share. I know they were out at a gig, was it Bobby Long? I think so. Feels like forever since i've posted one of these, i have a few looks i haven't covered that i'll get done during the Kristen Drought. *sniff* I miss her and her mad steeze. I chose this look first because well, i think she looks crazy hot. I don't know what it is she just looks very sexy in these pictures, i think this might have been the first time i thought the mullet (correction shag, sorry Joan Jett don't kill me) looked hot when it was growing out.

Kristen wore her Diesel Clush Jeans in Black, i love those jeans they are a great fit on her. She wore her 'The Body Shop' Vintage Tee (she wore it again back in February when she hung out with Sean Penn remember?). Jacket wise she brought out her favourite vintage POP leather bomber jacket. The great thing about buying a leather jacket is that they last a long time if you get a good one and once you have worn them in they look great with anything. They are the sort of jacket you can keep for years and always go back too plus leather never goes out of fashion. Shoes wise she wore her Converse Star Player EV Sneakers (she has an interesting collection of bright sneakers). Accessories wise she wore her usual favourites - her Little Red Riding Hood Spoon Ring. her 'Bella' Moonstone Ring and her Seiko Watch.

How To Get Kristens Oscar Hairstyle

First, start off by washing and conditioning your hair.
Tip: Using non-frizz or moisturizing formulas will help to contain fly-aways. I particularly love the ones listed on the Polyvore. The Living Proof shampoo and conditioner are amazing, as well as the new Naturals line from Tresemme; plus the Naturals line is all certified organic.

Towel dry hair.

STEP 1:
While hair is still wet, apply mousse to hair. Then distribute mousse throughout using a wide toothed comb.

STEP 2:
Dry hair with a large barreled round brush.
Tip: To get maximum volume, either apply a volume spray while hair is still damp to just the roots, and/or section off your hair while blow drying. Then using the round brush, start at the roots, under your hair, and with the concentrator attachment blow air on to the roots until dry before pulling the brush through towards the ends.

STEP 3:
Curl your hair with a 1" barreled curling iron.
Tip: For long hair, use a 1.5" barrel.

Then, once cooled run your fingers through your hair a few times to distribute waves.

STEP 4:
Secure off a portion of hair, about 1-2" wide in the very front of your scalp. With that section, make smaller sections (about 4 or 5). Then with those pieces, about halfway down the strands of your hair, loosely braid it to the ends.
Tip: If this is too hard, then you can always twist it, and it will look just as good.

Next, gather all the braids, and the rest of your hair and lightly pull your hair back into a loose bun at the nape of your neck. Do this so there is still volume at the roots, and so that your hair isn't too tight. If your hair is too tight, then more than likely, your overall hair style will look to heavily done, and not effortless like Kristen's.

Then secure it with bobby pins.
Tip: Kristen's hair is in multiple layers due to her Joan Jett haircut, and if yours is in multiple layers too then you will more than likely have a few strands to come loose from the bun. No worries; just take them and secure those down at the base of the bun with bobby pins.

Finish off by spraying hair all over with hair spray, and lightly patting down to secure fly-aways if you have them.
